Our thoughts are with the victims and families involved in the Colorado shooting this past week. Those directly and indirectly impacted by this tragedy have requested a solution to the problem of increasing violence in American suburbia. Columbine, Virginia Tech, Fort Hood, now this. There has even been an increase in police-involved attacks on the innocent.

This issue is a complex one–  just like cancer this is a problem of the interplay between education, economy, policy and potentially mental health care. Just like cancer this issue is not as simple as taking a pill.
